Started by billiard player Tom Reece as the Victoria Club in the old Victoria mansions (later Carlton Hotel) in the 1920's but moved to
Primrose House (2019- Cartwright's Electricals and "Kitchen and Things") around 1935/ 1936.
It was recorded in the 1st edition of the Guinness Book of Records (1955) that Jim Pike went around the board on doubles, retrieving his
own darts, in the time of 14.5 seconds. He did this at arms length at The Craven Club, Newmarket in 1944.
Very little has been found about this club. In 1950 Primrose House was owned by the Loyal Beacon Lodge of Odd Fellows Friendly Society.
