This refers to the clubhouse at the Town Ground, home of Newmarket Town Football Club, NOT the club that was behind the Waggon & Horses
which was simply "The Supporters Club".
Newmarket Town FC have had the Town Ground as their base since 1885,initially sharing with the Cricket Club. Sole ownership passed to the Football Club and in 1984 a brick club house was built and licensed. It remains to this day, albeit with many interior alterations. One regret is that due to the orientation of the pitch, the club house was not built on the Cricket Field Road boundary, which could have enabled it to be used to a greater extent, outside of match days.
